KFL CEO Ilham Hossen Selected for U.S. State Department Leadership Programme on Combat Sports

A proud moment for Sri Lankan combat sports

Ilham Hossen, Chief Executive Officer of Karma Fight League (KFL), is currently in the United States representing Sri Lanka on the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), participating in the “American Excellence in Combat Sports” programme at the invitation of the U.S. Embassy in Colombo.

Over three weeks, Hossen will travel across Washington, DC, Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, meeting promoters, regulators, broadcasters, venue operators and athlete managers from the United States, as well as combat sports leaders from around the world.

The visit is expected to strengthen KFL’s ongoing efforts to grow combat sports in Sri Lanka. Insights and best practices gathered during the programme will be brought home for the benefit of Sri Lankan athletes, fans and the wider country.

KFL expressed its gratitude to the U.S. Embassy in Colombo for recognising the organisation and offering the opportunity to take part in the exchange.

“We look forward to bringing the U.S. combat sports community’s expertise back to Sri Lanka and building on our long-term vision.” the organisation said.
