AIA Sri Lanka advances its Project NOVA journey with the launch of iAcademy

AIA Sri Lanka has launched iAcademy, a next-generation digital learning platform designed to simplify and modernise the onboarding and training experience for new Wealth Planners, marking another significant milestone in the company’s transformation journey through Project NOVA.

Designed to make learning more accessible and engaging, iAcademy transforms traditionally location-based training programmes into a digital experience that can be accessed online, anytime and anywhere. AIA Wealth Planners can now progress through their training at their own pace while benefiting from a consistent and structured onboarding experience. The platform provides new Wealth Planners the essential knowledge and capabilities required to begin their careers with AIA. The learning journey includes an introduction to values and culture, together with comprehensive product knowledge, insurance fundamentals, an understanding of the Wealth Planner profession and its benefits, sales processes and best practices, and compliance and regulatory requirements.

iAcademy also includes an interactive orientation learning experience, licensing examination guidance, with trilingual language support. Importantly, the platform goes beyond digital learning to help streamline the wider onboarding journey. iAcademy provides real-time visibility of training progress and completion status, and upon the successful completion of all required modules, the onboarding process is automatically advanced.

Commenting on the launch, Upul Wijesinghe, Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Chief Distribution Officer (CDO) of AIA Sri Lanka, said, “By harnessing technology, we are creating a faster, simpler and more accessible onboarding experience that gives our Wealth Planners greater flexibility in how they learn, while equipping them with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed from day one.”

Dimuthu Piyasena, Chief Agency Officer of AIA Sri Lanka, added, “Our Wealth Planners are central to the way we connect with and serve our customers. iAcademy allows us to deliver a structured and engaging learning experience while giving new Wealth Planners the flexibility to learn at their own pace.”

As AIA Sri Lanka continues its transformation through Project NOVA, iAcademy represents another step towards building a more digitally enabled agency force, while ensuring new Wealth Planners have the knowledge, tools and confidence to succeed from the outset.
