On May 16th, China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka held a media briefing for the "2025 Tea for Harmony: Yaji" series events. Chinese and foreign media outlets, including "Daily News," "Ada Derana," "Lankadeepa," "Ceylon Chinese Voice," "Mirror," "Legal Daily," and "Xinhua News Agency," were invited to attend.
Mr. Ni Lisheng, Director of China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka, welcomed the journalists. He expressed gratitude for their long-term attention and support and conveyed his hope to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation with the media to jointly promote Sino-Sri Lankan cultural exchange and mutual learning, thereby enhancing the friendship between the people of the two countries.
The briefing introduced the origin and significance of the "Tea for Harmony" brand, as well as the two upcoming "Tea for Harmony: Yaji" events. According to the Center's work plan, the "Tea for Harmony: Yaji Cultural Gala 2025 – Songs and Dances, Tea, Incense, and Photo Exhibit of Xizang" will be held on May 20th at the Western Provincial Council Auditorium. Following this, the "Tea for Harmony: Yaji 2025 -- China-Sri Lanka Cultural Gala" will take place on May 21st at the Marino Beach Hotel.
After the meeting, attendees visited the "An Auspicious Year of the Snake: Chinese Zodiac Culture Exhibition" currently on display at the Center.
