The Wathupitiwala Export Processing Zone (BOI) received a Commendation Award under the Public Sector State Enterprises category at the 2025/26 National Productivity Awards (NPA), organized by the National Productivity Secretariat. The awards ceremony covering the Western and North Western Provinces was held recently at the Agra Auditorium of the Gampaha District Secretariat.

This award was presented in recognition of the implementation of the 5S concept to enhance productivity, the efficient service facilities established for investors and employees, and the overall operational excellence achieved recently within the Wathupitiwala Investment Zone.
