99x, as the strategic partner and organiser, through its Quality Assurance community and Colombo Quality Camp initiative, announces Quality Week 2026. The theme for this year, “Quality in the age of intelligence, redefining assurance for human-AI collaboration,” is designed to address the AI reality, focusing on how teams can ensure reliability, trust, and accountability when working with AI-driven solutions. The event will take place from the 16th to 20th February running daily from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. IST, bringing together industry practitioners, thought leaders, and emerging talent from across the software quality and engineering ecosystem to engage in timely, practical discussions around quality in intelligent systems.
This year’s programme features a diverse lineup of 11 international and 4 local speakers. Attendees can expect practical insights and real-world experiences from a diverse lineup of speakers addressing how quality must evolve in the age of intelligent systems. Sessions range from Gil Zilberfeld examining the root causes behind flaky tests, to René van Veldhuijzen offering a cultural lens on building trust in AI-driven systems. The programme also explores how teams can respond when AI-assisted tools behave unpredictably, with Ruwanthi Soysa and Garima Sarin discussing strategies that move quality beyond traditional approaches. Topics such as securing large language models, performance testing with AI, and human–AI collaboration are covered by speakers including Maryia Tuleika, Sandun Karunathilaka, and Jigarjit Singh, while Leonardo Lanni and Stoianof Claudiu Marian challenge conventional thinking around testing unpredictable systems and critical reasoning. Broader perspectives on building and assuring trustworthy AI are shared by Kiran Sahu, Uditha Bandara, and Dr. Chathuranga Manamendra, while Deep Barot and Julio de Lima bring insight into agentic AI and the changing QA job landscape in Sri Lanka.
Sisira Kumara, President of the Sri Lanka Software Testing Board (SLSTB), highlighted, “99x continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to delivering high-quality software testing and QA services. With a team certified through internationally recognised qualifications and guided by globally accepted codes of conduct, 99x plays a vital role in strengthening Sri Lanka’s QA community and advancing the industry as a whole
In addition to industry professionals, Quality Week 2026 will also see participation from universities, offering students early exposure to how quality thinking applies in real-world engineering environments an opportunity to understand the role of quality beyond textbooks and into modern product development.
Maureen Dissanayake, Senior Quality Assurance Lead at 99x and main organiser of Quality Week 2026 said, “Quality Week 2026 is about strengthening our community through knowledge sharing and collaboration. It’s an opportunity for QA professionals to learn from each other, explore new ideas, and move forward with confidence in a rapidly changing industry. When we come together, we grow stronger. We invite the QA and wider tech community to join our sessions and be part of these meaningful conversations shaping the future of quality.”
As strategic partner, 99x continues its commitment to strengthening the quality engineering community by enabling knowledge sharing across borders and experience levels. Quality Week 2026 aims to equip participants with perspectives they can immediately apply, while encouraging deeper responsibility as technology continues to evolve.
