Two competitions, one for the fastest pizza maker and the other for the best coffee shop in Sri Lanka have been added as the latest attraction to the ‘Hotel Show’, perhaps the largest services sector exhibition in South Asia.

The organizers say that the fastest pizza maker competition has been introduced while considering the development of speed in the restaurant sector.

The Sri Lanka coffee shop competition has been introduced since the coffee culture is gaining prominence in the island and also to provide novelty to the companies engaged in this sector.

While expressing views exhibition organizing committee chairman Trevin Gomez said that these competitions look towards identifying the Sri Lankan skills and the winners would be selected according to international standards.

“The winners will be provided opportunities to take part in international competitions,” added Trevin Gomez.

The ‘Hotel Show 2014’ is to be held for the ninth occasion at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall from 13 to 15 June.
