In the literature of mythology relating to gods, God Katharagama or  Kadira Divyaraja is mentioned as the only god to marry a daughter of a human. The beauty who loved Kadira Divyaraja from her childhood and who by the wonder of this love of hers for this Heavenly Being, brought Him to   Katharagama and marry Him is no other than Walli who was born and bred among the  Aadivaasi (Vedda) Community who lived in the Katharagama area. Their story is a wondrous and a colourful love story.
