The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority reports that the number of foreign tourists who visited Sri Lanka in the first 10 days of December 2023 is 57,394.

Consequently, the total count of foreign tourists arriving in the country in 2023 has been documented as 1,334,345.

On December 10th, a group of 8,696 tourists visited Sri Lanka, marking the highest number of tourists in a single day this year. On that day, three luxury passenger ships also docked at Colombo harbor, bringing in more than 4,000 tourists.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka reports that tourism earnings for November 2023 amount to 205.3 million US dollars. As a result, the total tourism earnings for the 11-month period of 2023 have reached 1,798.7 million US dollars.
