A proposal to establish a University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with a university based in the United States of America, has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The relevant received the green light at a Cabinet meeting held on Monday (08 Jan.).

As per the proposal presented by the President, the said University of Science and Technology is slated to be established as a Public-Private Partnership, together with one partner university from the USA.

Several universities, including UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, UC Davis and the University of Michigan, are under consideration for the partnership.
