Wasana Trading Company is preparing to establish six facilities for recharging of electric motorcars at the Welipenna resting point along the Southern Expressway, said the company’s Director Indika Sampath Merinchige.

He told adaderanabiz.lk that three facilities each would be established on either side of the Southern Expressway at Welipenna.

“We have already received government approval for this. We will establish ordinary electric motorcar recharging facilities as at homes,” added Merinchige.

Currently, electric motor cars are becoming popular in Sri Lanka and this has drawn government attention as well.
