The long-anticipated passenger ferry service between Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu and Kankesanthurai (KKS) in Sri Lanka's Jaffna district is set to recommence on August 16, according to Indian media sources.

IndSri Ferry Services Private Limited, the company overseeing the operation, announced that bookings for the service will open at midnight today (12).

The relaunch, initially planned for May, faced delays leading to its eventual cancellation.
