The President has appointed two senior consultants to advise on economic affairs and finance, as per the powers vested in him by Article 41 (1) of the Constitution. The appointments, made in consultation with the Cabinet of Ministers, have been confirmed effective from September 24, 2024.

Mr. Duminda Hulangamuwa and Dr. A.A.J. Fernando have been appointed as Senior Consultants in Economic Affairs and Finance. Both will serve in an honorary capacity, contributing their expertise to the administration's economic and financial strategies.
