The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has introduced key revisions to its Listing Rules to facilitate the listing of High Yield Corporate Debt Securities. Effective from September 19, 2024, these amendments were approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.
The revised rules aim to streamline the issuance process for corporate debt securities, ensuring greater compliance and transparency. Key updates include new eligibility criteria for issuers, stricter disclosure requirements, and regulations around the rating and issuance of high-yield securities.
The CSE believes that these changes will make the Sri Lankan market more attractive to both domestic and international investors, further supporting economic growth.
