Hatton National Bank PLC (HNB), Sri Lanka's leading private sector bank, has joined forces with CIC Holdings PLC to launch an innovative women's health program to enhance the well-being and productivity of its female employees.
Facilitated by CIC's Health and Personal Care Division, the partnership between CIC Holdings and HNB was formalized through the signing of a MoU at HNB Towers. The initiative will mark a significant step towards addressing critical health issues and improving the quality of life for women in the workplace.
"Prioritizing our employees' health and well-being is fundamental to our organization's success. We recognize that women's health, often overlooked, deserves special attention across all platforms. Our partnership with CIC Holdings underscores our commitment to empowering women and fostering a work environment that addresses their unique health needs. This initiative is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace for all our employees," said HNB Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) K. Indravasan.
This comprehensive wellness initiative, set to run for three years, will focus on a wide range of women's health concerns, including non-communicable diseases, menopause, nutrition, mental health, and infertility. The program will be rolled out across all HNB regional offices, with plans to conduct a minimum of one meeting per month. Each quarter will focus on a specific health topic, ensuring comprehensive coverage of women's health issues nationwide.
"Our collaboration with HNB aims to create a lasting positive impact for women in the banking sector. By combining CIC Holdings' expertise in health and personal care with HNB's dedication to employee well-being, we've developed a promising program to drive meaningful change, and I'm excited about the outcomes of this initiative," said CIC, Managing Director/CEO Aroshan Seresinhe, commenting on the partnership.
CIC Holdings' Health and Personal Care Division will play a crucial role in executing the program by conducting wellness programs, providing guidance and recommendations, inviting guest speakers, arranging diagnostic medical utilities, distributing educational materials, and supplying the necessary professionals, instruments, and equipment.
With 254 customer centres, HNB is one of Sri Lanka's largest, most technologically innovative private banks. Consolidating its legacy in sustainability, good governance, and corporate excellence, HNB was crowned the Best Corporate Citizen for 2022 at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Best Corporate Citizen Awards. Other significant accolades include being adjudged the "Best Automobile Financing Bank in the Asia-Pacific Region" and "Best Retail Bank in Sri Lanka" for the 14th occasion by the Asian Banker, being declared the "Best SME Bank" by Asiamoney Magazine, as well as securing a Top 5 position on Business Today's Top 40 rankings for 2023.
