SLICCA wins 17 prestigious medals at National Level Chef Guild Competition

The Sri Lanka Institute of Confectionery and Culinary Arts (SLICCA) proudly secured 17 prestigious medals at the National Level Chef Guild Competition, held on the 12th and 13th of November 2025 in Galle. The grand event, graced by the Mayor of Galle as the Chief Guest, brought together top culinary talents from across the nation, making it one of the most competitive platforms for chefs and confectionery professionals.The Southern Regional Competition is known for its intense standards and high level of competition,especially with the tourism and hospitality industry dominating the coastal region. Despite competing against renowned five star hotels and established culinary institutions, SLICCA showcased outstanding creativity, skill, and professionalism, earning remarkable national recognition.

Founder and CEO Deshamaniya Dr. Fathima Rushda extended her heartfelt congratulations to all participants, applauding their hard work and dedication. She emphasized that this achievement marks another significant milestone in SLICCAʼs journey toward excellence in the confectionery and culinary arts industry.
