The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has achieved the highest tax revenue collection in its history for the year 2025. As of November 17, 2025, total revenue collections amount to approximately Rs. 2,002,241 Million (Rs. 2,002.241 Billion).

This reflects an increase of Rs. 60,079 Million compared to the total revenue collected in 2024. In contrast to the Rs. 1,942,162 Million collected in 2024, the Department has made a substantial contribution toward strengthening the Government's financial position by reaching Rs. 2,002,241 Million within the first eleven months of 2025.

IRD extends their sincere appreciation to all respected taxpayers who have diligently fulfilled their tax obligations in adherence to existing tax laws, thereby contributing to the nation's progress and public welfare.
