Recently, the BYD SEAL U (Sealion06) emerged as the best-selling plug-in hybrid model in Germany's automotive market for November, drawing widespread industry attention. This milestone marks not only the first time a Chinese auto brand has topped the sales chart in a mainstream German vehicle segment but also signifies that BYD's large-scale breakthrough in Europe has entered a new phase.

In the German market specifically, BYD's cumulative sales from January to November reached 19,197 units, a year-on-year increase of over 647.5%. Sales in November alone hit 4,026 units, surging more than 834.1% year-on-year, raising its market share to 1.6%.

In the UK market, BYD's cumulative sales for the first eleven months totaled 43,740 units, representing a 488.5% growth compared to the same period last year.

In Spain, BYD's January-November cumulative sales reached 22,358 units, up 452.3% year-on-year. November sales were 2,934 units, a 267.7% increase, capturing a 19.2% market share and surpassing Tesla to lead the electric vehicle sales rankings. Four BYD models – the BYD ATTO1, ATTO 2, Sealion06, and SEAL – became ranked among the top 10 in the 'Best-Selling Electric Vehicles in Spain' list for the month, with the  BYD ATTO 1 securing the second overall position.

In Italy, BYD's cumulative sales from January to November soared to 20,211 units, an astonishing increase of 4,878.1% year-on-year. November sales were 3,526 units, boosting its market share to 2.8%.

In France, BYD's cumulative sales for the eleven-month period amounted to 10,982 units, growing 202.7% year-on-year. November sales reached 1,139 units, a 72.6% increase.

In fact, the record-breaking sales figures in Europe reflect a microcosm of BYD's overall overseas performance. From January to November 2025, BYD's overseas cumulative sales of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks surpassed 910,000 units. Overseas sales for November alone reached 131,661 units, a 297% year-on-year increase. Globally, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 14.7 million units.

These achievements are not merely a reflection of BYD's overseas expansion progress but also demonstrate the global trust earned through a strong commitment to technology and a comprehensive product and market strategy. Looking ahead, BYD will continue to be driven by green technology, deepen its global localized operations, and collaborate with partners to accelerate the global transition to electrification, bringing green and sustainable mobility solutions to more markets worldwide.
