Avenra Hotels has appointed Mr. Shohan Chandiram as its new Chief Executive Officer, further strengthening the group’s senior leadership as it continues to build on its established presence in Sri Lanka’s hospitality sector.
The appointment reflects Avenra Hotels’ confidence in experienced executive leadership to steer the organisation forward with strategic oversight, sound governance and organisational alignment. With a strong footprint in the leisure, weddings and events segments, the group remains focused on consistent performance and long-term brand credibility.
Mr. Chandiram joins Avenra Hotels as a hospitality veteran with extensive C-suite experience across hotel operations, commercial strategy and organisational leadership. As Chief Executive Officer, he will steer Avenra Hotels forward by providing executive direction, reinforcing leadership culture and supporting cohesive decision-making across the group’s portfolio.
He is an experienced marketing professional with an MBA from Buckinghamshire University UK, a postgraduate qualification in marketing and certifications as a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) and Certified Practising Marketer. He is a Life Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) where he served on the Executive Committee from 2012 to 2014.

Avenra Hotels operates a portfolio of destination properties including Avenra Gardens Hotel in Negombo, Avenra Beach Hotel in Hikkaduwa and Avenra Gangaara Hotel in Wennappuwa, serving Sri Lanka’s domestic tourism, weddings and corporate events markets.
