Former Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardana met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday (22) to discuss Sri Lanka’s economic outlook and strategies to strengthen national resilience and sustainable growth.
Siriwardana, who retired as finance secretary in mid-2025 and now serves as an Alternate Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), said the discussions focused on identifying key challenges and opportunities for the country’s economy. The two exchanged views on potential pathways forward, including ways the ADB could support Sri Lanka’s recovery and development efforts.
