CWEIC Chairman Lord Marland to Visit Sri Lanka next week

Lord Marland of Odstock, Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka on February 9th and 10th, 2026.

The visit underscores the CWEIC’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s economic trajectory and fostering deeper integration within the Commonwealth’s global trade network.

During his two-day mission, Lord Marland is scheduled to call upon His Excellency the President, to discuss the ongoing economic recovery and the strategic role of the Commonwealth in supporting Sri Lanka’s investment climate. In addition, he is set to meet with key private sector stakeholders including CWEIC’s Strategic partners in Sri Lanka.

This will also be Lord Marland’s first visit to Sri Lanka since CWEIC established a hub in Sri Lanka to support local strategic partners.

The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council is the official business and investment arm of the Commonwealth, with a direct mandate from the 56 Commonwealth Heads of Government to drive trade and investment across the member nations.
