In the lead-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, HUTCH Sri Lanka is unveiling a fresh experience for communities to connect with the game by bringing the spirits of the cricketing season directly to the cities and towns across the country.
Centered around a nationwide call to wish our cricket lions, HUTCH has launched an island-wide wishing campaign in partnership with Supreme Global Holdings, as its strategic media and activation partner. The centerpiece of the campaign is Sri Lanka’s largest cricket bat, standing at 25 feet and signed by cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara. As a nation, fans are invited to sign alongside Sanga’s, transforming into a powerful symbol of pride, passion, unity, and collective support for our cricket squad.
The HUTCH wishing truck will travel across 40+ cities and towns across Sri Lanka, collecting wishes throughout the group stage of the tournament. As the bat travels across the island, both local and tourist fans from all regions are welcome to sign the bat, make their wishes, and become part of a historic national moment celebrating the sport that has been a pride of the nation.
This initiative has powered a travelling, community-led cricket activation of this scale, blending sport, culture, and experiential engagement. As the truck travels it features interactive games and instant rewards, creating a vibrant, festival-style atmosphere in every location.
Through this nationwide wishing campaign, HUTCH continues to strengthen cricket spirit with cricket fans while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and elevating shared experiences. As Sri Lanka rallies behind the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, HUTCH remains focused on bringing people closer to the moments, passions, and communities that matter most.
