LAUGFS Gas PLC says it has taken steps to ensure uninterrupted LP Gas supply despite temporary distribution constraints in the market.

In a statement issued today (19), the company said the shortfall arose due to an operational limitation affecting the use of its 30,000-metric-ton LPG import terminal in Hambantota, which disrupted regular import logistics.

The company said it is working with relevant government authorities to expedite the terminal’s release and operational clearance.

As an interim measure, LPG shipments have been rerouted directly to the Colombo Port, with stocks secured and distribution mechanisms adjusted to meet domestic demand.

LAUGFS Gas assured the public that all necessary arrangements are in place to maintain continuous supply.
