The stock market closed lower for the second consecutive day today (20), with both indices at the Colombo Stock Exchange recording losses.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) dropped 96.43 points, while the S&P SL20 Index fell 21.72 points.

At the close of trading, the ASPI stood at 23,773.64, and the S&P SL20 at 6,721.47.

Market turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.89 billion.
