Dipped Products PLC (DPL) recently commemorated its 50^th anniversary by ringing the market opening bell on the trading floor of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) celebrating a half a century.

DPL, founded in 1976, is a leading manufacturer of protective handwear and plantation management service provider, leveraging access to premium natural rubber and serving customers across more than 70 countries worldwide. DPL is also a member of Hayleys PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s largest diversified conglomerates. Having been a listed company since the inception of CSE and it is also the winner of numerous awards, including the Presidential Export Awards for Innovative Export and Best Exporter under Latex Rubber Product category.

Delivering his opening remarks, CEO of CSE Mr. Rajeeva Bandaranaike stated “As the CSE continues its path toward fostering sustainable and inclusive financial growth, we take great pride in supporting companies such as Dipped Products PLC who have contributed meaningfully to national development, the livelihoods of Sri Lankans, and the strength of our export sector on the global stage.”

Speaking at the market opening ceremony, Managing Director of DPL Mr. Pushpika Janadheera remarked upon the occasion having stated “Marking 50 years since our incorporation in 1976 is a proud milestone for Dipped Products PLC and a reflection of the trust placed in us by our stakeholders. From our beginnings in Sri Lanka to becoming a globally recognized hand protection manufacturer, our journey has been driven by innovation, resilience, and strong values.”

Further remarking upon DPL’s long history as a listed company which had joined CSE at the exchange’s inception, he stated “We have remained committed to good governance, sustainable growth, and long-term value creation. This bell ringing symbolizes not only our achievements over the past five decades, but also our continued commitment to building a stronger future for our stakeholders and contributing to Sri Lanka’s export economy.”
