MendisOne is proud to announce the official launch of the Darshi & Rohitha Foundation, a dedicated organization under the MendisOne umbrella focused on development, social responsibility, and meaningful community impact. The launch ceremony was held 23^rd February 2026 at Maw Sevana, Mattakkuliya, marking the beginning of a new chapter in MendisOne’s 28-year legacy of charitable initiatives.

The Foundation has been established to provide a structured approach to MendisOne’s philanthropic work, guided by the company’s core values and a sincere commitment to empower communities.

Key Areas of Focus
The Darshi & Rohitha Foundation will focus on critical sectors that make a tangible difference in people’s lives:

• Education – Enhancing learning environments and supporting schools
• Environmental Sustainability – Promoting eco-conscious initiatives and clean-up drives
• Youth Empowerment – Providing opportunities for growth and leadership
• Healthcare Support – Assisting with medical and wellness programs
• Sanitation & Hygiene – Ensuring access to clean water and improved facilities

Early Initiatives and Partnerships
Even prior to its official launch, the Foundation has already begun making a positive impact:

• Donated 12 green boards to Hewavitharana School in Rajagiriya to improve learning facilities.
• Renovated Maw Sevana Dormitory 2, making it fully functional, and upgraded Dormitory 1 to double the capacity for children.

The Foundation emphasizes sustainable, dignified, and meaningful projects and is committed to collaborating with partners, communities, and supporters to achieve long-term impact.

Looking Ahead

While the Foundation is starting on a small scale this year to learn and adapt, the long-term vision is to expand its team and reach, creating a broader impact across communities in Sri Lanka.
