Cap Snap Lanka Pvt. Ltd., a member of the CSL Group, has received six internationally recognised certifications, including the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000), at a ceremony held recently in Colombo. The achievement is particularly noteworthy as all six certifications were secured within just six months, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. The certifications were awarded by Bureau Veritas Sri Lanka Country General Manager Shan Nanayakkara and his team in the presence of the Cap Snap Lanka leadership. The event also included a presentation on the company’s history and operations, followed by a corporate video showcasing its 20-year journey in the plastics and rigid packaging industry. Chief Operating Officer Rizwan Jalill was also present at the ceremony. The certifications were formally presented to Chairman Anura Kumarasinghe, Managing Director M.H.M. Fazal, Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Farih Fazal, and Director and Group Consultant Hugh Indrajith. The certifications received by the company were ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), ISO 22000:2018 for Food Safety Management, and FSSC 22000 Version 6 under GFSI Food Safety standards.

During the ceremony, Appreciation Awards were presented to 14 departments that contributed to the certification process, including IM Production, SBM Production, Stores, Warehouse and Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering Workshop, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Factory Administration, Quality Assurance, Quality Compliance, and Digital Marketing. The ceremony also featured Internal Auditor Excellence Awards, presented in recognition of distinguished achievements as Certified Internal Auditors for ISO-FSSC compliance. The awards were presented by Directors Fayaz Fazal, Asitha Kumarasinghe, Asha Kumarasinghe, and Group Company Secretary Firoze Sameer to Thurindu Kannangara, Kapila Perera, Mohamed Kalith, G.D.S.M. Gunawardhana, K.M.N.R. Kumara, Nipuni Sewwandi, Thilini Prabhashini, Janith Punchihewa, Shashinthika de Silva, Gaya Gamachchige, Amali Chathurika, Gayan Samarakoon, Tharuka Dhananjalee, and Sewwandi Wijesinghe. A commemorative plaque marking the official partnership between CSL Group and Bureau Veritas Sri Lanka was presented to Shan Nanayakkara and his team, while another plaque was presented to Rasitha Niroshana and his team in appreciation of the partnership with Halcyon Lanka.
