Oceans Talent has unveiled its new dedicated headquarters in Colombo as it continues to grow its Sri Lankan team toward the 1,000 mark. While remaining a remote-first company, this space marks a significant milestone in the company's long-term commitment to Sri Lanka and its vision of making world-class careers accessible without requiring talent to leave the country they love. Because while the majority of Oceans’ clients are in the United States, the company remains primarily locally led, with over 95% of the team living here in Sri Lanka.

Today, more than 500 Divers (because they “go deep with clients”) work with over 300 businesses worldwide across strategy, operations, finance, marketing, and more. Rather than following traditional outsourcing models where a contingent workforce cycles on and off projects, Oceans has built an offering focused on fully embedded talent, which allows Divers to create long-term careers, continuous learning, and sustainable professional growth within the same company ecosystem.

Chief Experience Officer Matt Wallaert recognizes the irony. "I get it - opening an office as a remote-first company feels odd. But you can’t truly have flexibility without choice and creating a space to gather gives people options. We’re deeply rooted in Sri Lanka and physical space feels like a natural extension of those roots; if we want people to be able to stay in the country and still get international exposure, what could be more natural than giving that a locus?”
