Samsung Sri Lanka brought together its retail partners from across the country for the Retailer Summit 2026, an evening dedicated to recognizing outstanding performance, celebrating long-standing partnerships, and looking ahead to the next chapter of growth. The event welcomed leading retailers from John Keells Office Automation (JKOA) and Softlogic Mobile Distribution (SMD) for two days of recognition, networking and shared celebration.

The summit recognized the retailers whose commitment and customer service have helped strengthen Samsung's presence across Sri Lanka. Over 460 attendees, including business partners, retailers, and their families from Jaffna to Matara representing all parts of the island, gathered to celebrate a year of achievement while reaffirming the strong relationships that continue to drive Samsung's success in the local market.

One of the evening's highlights was the presentation of the National Dealer Excellence Awards, recognizing the country's top five Samsung retail partners for their exceptional sales performance, each of whom received commemorative rewards and a luxury five-star hotel stay for one night and two days along with their families.

The National Dealer Excellence Awards were presented to Buyzone Mobile (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo (Islandwide Rank 1), The SmartPhone Shop (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo (Islandwide Rank 2), Celltronics (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo Metro (Islandwide Rank 4) and Thilakawardhana Cellular, Gampaha (Islandwide Rank 5).

In addition to the national awards, Samsung also recognized the top-performing regional dealers across the island, celebrating excellence in every district, and acknowledging the role each retailer plays in making Samsung products more accessible to customers throughout Sri Lanka.

The evening featured keynote addresses from Samsung's leadership, entertainment performances, interactive product experiences, demonstrations of Samsung's Knox security and Easy Payment plans, and opportunities for retailers to connect with Samsung teams and industry peers. More than an awards ceremony, the summit served as a platform to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and celebrate the people behind Samsung's retail success.

Opening the event, Mr. SangHwa Song, Managing Director, Samsung Sri Lanka, commented, "Sri Lanka's retailers have stood by Samsung through every market condition, and this summit was about standing up for them. Mr. Nuwan Ukwatte, Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Division, Samsung Sri Lanka, highlighted, “We didn't wait for the market to change. We led the change. Together with our valued partners, we have already changed the way customers purchase Samsung smartphones in the GT market, successfully growing our business while helping to reduce the impact of rising prices on both customers and retailers.”

Buyzone Mobile (Pvt) Ltd, which secured the Islandwide Rank 1 award, reflected on the significance of the recognition. "Securing the Islandwide Rank 1 spot is a massive milestone for BUYZONE.LK, and it belongs entirely to our journey with Samsung. Samsung's constant innovation and reliable ecosystem have given us the competitive edge to lead the market. This award motivates us to continue raising the bar and achieving even greater milestones together."

The SmartPhone Shop (Pvt) Ltd, the Islandwide Rank 2 winner, commented on the strength of its long-standing partnership with Samsung, "We are thrilled to be recognized as an Islandwide Achiever. This win reflects our team's dedication and the deep trust our customers place in Samsung. Our partnership goes far beyond business. It is built on mutual growth, strong support and cutting-edge technology."

Celltronics (Pvt) Ltd, ranked fourth Islandwide, said the summit reaffirmed the shared commitment between Samsung and its retail partners. Rounding out the top five was Thilakawardhana Cellular of Gampaha, whose team said the recognition reflects the strong partnership they have built with Samsung and JKOA.
