The internationally acclaimed Michael Jackson tribute production, seen across 15 countries and 25 cities and having sold more than 500,000 tickets worldwide, arrives in Colombo on 8 and 9 November

City of Dreams Sri Lanka brings This Is Michael – Relive the Legend to The Podium, City of Dreams Sri Lanka, on 8 and 9 November 2026. The internationally acclaimed production has travelled across 15 countries and 25 cities, selling more than 500,000 tickets worldwide and performing at major venues including Arena CDMX and Arena Monterrey in Mexico, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid, Movistar Arena in Chile, Roig Arena in Valencia, Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait.

The production is a live recreation of Michael Jackson, performed by Lenny Jay, whose voice, mannerisms, movement and stage energy have been developed through years of studying one of the most precise performers in music history and the demands of his performance style. That attention to detail extends across the production, bringing together the voice, costumes, choreography of the dance moves, cinematography, recreation of iconic music-video moments, stage props and theatrical elements, alongside an international cast of dancers, singers and live musicians. Together, these elements recreate the performance language and visual moments audiences remember from some of Jackson's most iconic performances, making it more than simply a performance of his songs.

This combination gives This Is Michael the scale of a live concert rather than a conventional tribute show. More than 20 of Jackson's greatest songs feature in the two-hour production, including Billie Jean, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dangerous and Man in the Mirror.  And that is what makes This Is Michael feel more like stepping into the world of one of Jackson's concerts. When the lights go down, the first beat lands and the dancers and live musicians take the stage; familiar songs suddenly become something happening in front of you rather than something playing through a speaker.
