SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka (SOSCV SL) will come together to present Cultural Evening 2026 – ‘Rhythm of Unity’, providing a stage for children from across all six SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka to showcase their talents in an evening of music, dance, and cultural performances. To be held on 19 September 2026 at Bishop’s College Auditorium, Colombo, from 7.00 PM onwards, the evening will create a unique opportunity for children to express their talents in a celebration of creativity and confidence.

Championing efforts that allow children to grow from strength to strength while building bonds with each other and their families, ‘Rhythm of Unity’ creates a unique experience-based platform for children to discover themselves and their capacity for teamwork and self-expression. It will also shine a light on the immense value of encouraging children to discover their own voices and identities.

With rehearsals taking place across SOS Children’s Villages and Family Strengthening Programmes in Sri Lanka, including Piliyandala, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, and Pereliya, the evening represents a significant endeavour in raising awareness about the importance of encouraging experiences and skills that nurture the growth of children into upstanding citizens.

Expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming event, Divakar Ratnadurai, National Director, SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka said, “This event is a day of thanks and gratitude for all of us. Not only are we celebrating every child under our care but we’re also creating a unique opportunity for our children to discover connection through creativity.  Furthermore, the evening offers us chance to inspire the fundamental sense of belonging that plays a major role shaping children into honest citizens.”
