Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) officially commenced its Winter Flight Schedule 2026/2027 sunday (25).

The launch of the winter season was marked by the arrival of a SCAT Airlines flight originating from Astana, Kazakhstan, which brought 202 passengers to the island.

The airport is gearing up for an active winter season as it prepares to welcome additional new airline arrivals and a growing number of international travellers in the days ahead.
