PC Pharma chairman gives undertaking to courts

July, 30, 2014

The chairman of PC Pharma PLC has given an undertaking to courts that the assets of the company would be safeguarded until the next hearing of the case.

This follows a petition before the Colombo Commercial High Court by Adams Investments Limited on 25 July seeking certain interim orders protecting the assets of PC Pharma PLC from misappropriation and preventing the mismanagement of its funds.

PC Pharma PLC and its current directors who are the respondents to the petition were represented in courts and objected to the granting of such interim relief.

However, at this juncture, the PC Pharma PLC chairman had given this undertaking to courts. Hence, the lawyers for Adams Investments Limited did not seek further relief at that juncture and court granted a future date for the case.
