Telecommunication activities had increased by 11.1% in value added terms in the first quarter of 2018 due to the increased usage during first quarter of the year whilst insurance activities had expanded by 9.3% in the same period the latest government data outlines. 

According to the Mid-Year Fiscal report published by the Ministry of Finance it further highlights that financial service activities in value-added terms had increased by 12.2% in the first quarter of 2018 compared to 14.9% recorded in the same period of 2017.
