The Proposal presented by Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy to award the contract of providing 10 stocks of LED bulbs to M/s Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask for Rs.169.6 million per each stock, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. Thus according to the Cabinet decision total cost of 10 stocks will worth over Rs. 1,696 million or Rs. 1.69 billion.

Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask is a Vietnam based company manufacturing, distributing lighting products, electrical appliances and materials, lighting equipment, glass products and vacuum flasks. Company also provide Scientific and Technical services and technology transfer, direct export and import, consulting and designing residential and industrial lighting systems (excluding civil design), repairing and installing residential and industrial lighting systems, commercial advertising services and goods transport services. Company’s production capacity according to the corporate profile notes that the firm manufactures 150 million Lamps a year, 18.5 million Vacuum Flasks a year, 3 million Lighting Equipment a year and 1.5 million Desk Lamps a year.
