Development Lotteries contribution to President Fund down by 72% in 2017

The latest annual review of the Department of Public Enterprise (PED) points out that DLB has contributed Rs. 501 million to the President Fund during 2017 which is a decline of 72% compared to the contribution made in 2016

Sri Lanka’s state owned Development Lotteries Board (DLB) recorded a turnover of Rs. 13,771 million or Rs. 13.77 billion during 2017 which is a marginal decrease of 7.7% compared to 2016.

“DLB has paid Excise duty amounted to Rs. 111 million during 2017” PED notes adding that DLB should investigate the possibilities of reducing the sales relative cost down to an acceptable level.
