Cargills Bank expands ‘Digizone’ Network for greater customer convenience

Cargills Bank, a growing digitally driven financial entity reiterated its commitment to true digitization of Banking with the opening of three new Digizones in Colombo.

The state-of-the-art digital banking unit was set up to provide customers with a unique experience of solutions offered by the bank.

The opening of new units at Maharagama, Rajagiriya & Kandana gradually increases the network to 5 locations with Colombo 4 and Thanamalvila being the other two. The Maharagama, Rajagiriya & Kandana Digizones were declared open by Mr. Samantha Liyanaarachchi – Area Manager& Ms. RanjaniShyama Davis – Branch Manager, Ms. S. Nilanthi Dhammika – Assistant Area Manageress & Mr. Prasanna Fernando – Branch Manager, of Cargills Food City accordingly. The units were opened in the presence of Mr. Darshana Ratnayake – Deputy General Manager Retail Banking, Mr. Buddhika Perera Head of Retail Banking, Mr. Renuka Hettiarachchi – Marketing Manager, Mrs. Sajeevani Udugama – Branch Manager Maharagama & Eranga Silva – Branch Manager Rajagiriya of Cargills Bank.

The Maharagama Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No 75, Dehiwala Road Maharagama. The Ragagiriya Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No 395, Sri Jayawardenapura Mawatha, Welikada, Rajagiriya and Kandana Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No 39/1, Negombo Road, Kandana.

Commenting on the opening of Digizones, Mr. Darshana Ratnayake – Deputy General Manager, Retail Banking at Cargills Bank said, “We are pleased to open our new Digizones in fast developing townships ofthe Western Province. Our “Digizone” is unique in design and concept and comes with refinement of digital banking services available to the public 24 x 7. The unit is equipped with a Deposit KIOSK, ATM and a Cheque Deposit machine allowing customers to make cash deposits which credit funds instantly, withdraw funds, transfer funds , make cheques deposits and request online for an account.  The deposit service is also available to pay other bank credit cards making it a key attribute. We plan to expand the network into more locations during this year”.
