Senkadagala Finance acquires Sri Lanka’s Candor Asset Management for Rs.26.7Mn

Senkadagala Finance PLC, a registered finance company announced today (4) that it has acquired Candor Asset Management (CAM), a Sri Lankan unit trust and private portfolio management for an estimated Rs.26.7 million.

Candor Asset Management is licensed and regulated by the Security and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka to manage Unit Trust funds and Private portfolios inclusive of both conventional and Shariah-compliant funds.

Candor Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd was fully owned by Eagle Proprietary Investment Limited (EPIL), a part of Dubai-based Eagle Investments.

In the announcement to Candor Opportunities Fund unit holders, the firm said that there will be no changes to the investment strategies.

Senkadagala Finance PLC was initially formed in the city of Kandy in 1968. The Company has become one of the largest licensed finance companies operating under the purview of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
