On a request made by the Hon. State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals, Prof. Channa Jayasumana, George Steuart Health today donated 5 ECG Machines worth one million rupees to the State Ministry, through the ‘Steuart Senehasa’ CSR initiative.

The request was made to enhance the facilities at rural hospitals in the North Western Province of the Island. An urgent requirement was observed in these areas, where many patients were noted to succumb to cardiac complications due to lack of timely diagnosis.

The ECG machines will strengthen the diagnostic facilities in these hospitals and assist in saving invaluable lives through early detection of cardiac conditions.
