Sri Lankan-born entrepreneur Eshan Jayamanne has raised $9 million in funding for his San Francisco–based construction technology startup, Krane—an AI-native platform transforming construction supply chain management.

The round was co-led by Glasswing Ventures and Link Ventures, with participation from Tunitas Ventures, Rosecliff Ventures, New Normal Ventures, and a group of strategic angel investors.

Founded and led by CEO Eshan Jayamanne, Krane is built to de-risk the construction supply chain by bringing submittals, procurement, lead times, and deliveries into a single, real-time system. The platform acts like an embedded operations team, automating material planning, procurement, and coordination across the entire project lifecycle.

At the core of Krane is a system of specialized AI agents, each responsible for a critical part of the materials workflow:

• Milo transforms specs, drawings, and schedules into complete submittal and procurement logs within minutes.
• Arlo unifies schedules, submittals, and procurement data into a single system, enabling clear preconstruction strategy.
• Chase proactively follows up with trade partners to prioritize submittals and validate lead times and material status.
• Lana standardizes submittal quality through templates and automated quality control.
• Rio optimizes delivery scheduling, prevents conflicts, and analyzes equipment utilization.
• Theo manages procurement end-to-end—from quote comparison and RFP creation to final delivery.

Krane is now expanding beyond procurement and delivery coordination to serve owners and subcontractors more directly, further extending control across the construction value chain.
