The Diploma in Elevator Training was formed by Aitken Spence Elevators (Pvt) Ltd in collaboration with CINEC Campus with the intention of providing the vertical and horizontal transportation industry with knowledgeable and qualified personnel equipped to handle the tasks professionally. The diploma not only provides a steady foundation for the students and technicians in their professional life but also acts as an assurance for the stakeholders in the industry.

With Sri Lanka’s first elevator training centre opening in April 2022, the first fruits of its labour graduated on the 9^th of January 2023. Fifteen students graduated with a Diploma in Elevator Training – NVQ Level 3 from CINEC Campus followed by a memorable celebration.

The diploma awarding ceremony was attended by the Directors from   CINEC and Aitken Spence and the staff of both organisations which included the lecturers and, invitees of the graduating students.

Sakdehege Roshan Sampath Kumara received the highest results and was named the batch top. He was recognised with a special award for his outstanding achievement. Moreover, this is aa motivator and encouragement for future students to reach higher in their diploma certification course.

The diploma course trains students in both theory and practical application, preparing them for real life scenarios that they would face in their daily work. Furthermore, the graduates will hold a diploma from a renowned university CINEC and also a leading conglomerate Aitken Spence. .  The success of such collaborative efforts of two organisations coming together to bridge the much-needed skill gap in the elevator industry, will undoubtedly pave the way to enhance the quality of product and service for clients in the industry as well.
