Annexures and Exhibits of all five Forensic Audit reports on bond transactions of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) have been submitted to Parliament, The Deputy Governor of Central Bank Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe said.
Dr.Weerasinghe made this remark while responding to a query by a journalist at the monetary policy press briefing which was held today (30).
Journalist- Will the Central Bank release the missing Annexures and Exhibits of all five Forensic Audit reports as requested by Parliament?
Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe -That has been already submitted to Parliament.
Journalist- But they say there are some missing parts?
Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe - You have to ask that from parliament. First, the Central bank submitted the main report. but later, as per the request made by the Speaker of Parliament, we submitted the rest after consulting the Attorney General.
Meanwhile, the communication department of the parliament issued a confirmation statement in this regard.

Annexures and exhibits pertaining to the forensic audit reports on the issue of treasury bonds have been received by Parliament.
The Central Bank has submitted the five complete Forensic Audit report on the CBSL Bond Issue along with annexures and exhibits to Parliament.
It has been submitted on the request in writing by the Secretary-General of Parliament to the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Prof. W.D Lakshman as per the instruction given by the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Karu Jayasuriya.
Accordingly, several Government and Opposition Members of Parliament have expressed in Parliament that the audit reports would not be complete without the relevant annexures and exhibits whereas a special parliamentary debate with regards to the Forensic Audit report is scheduled for the 18th and 19th of February 2020.
