Dubai, UAE – A special discussion was held between the President of Asia Rugby, Mr. Qais Al-Dhalai, and Sri Lanka’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mr. Sunil Kumara Gamage, at the Al Bayt Palace in Dubai. The meeting focused on elevating Sri Lankan rugby to international standards and promoting sports tourism.

The President of Sri Lions International (a leading sports organization in Dubai), Dr. Kelum Sujith Perera, along with members of its board, also participated in the event.

International Tournaments in Sri Lanka: Detailed talks were held on organizing international rugby tournaments within Sri Lanka to attract foreign players and fans. The Minister highlighted the potential of such events to strengthen the local tourism sector and the economy.
