The 13^th Annual Life Sales Convention of Asian Alliance Insurance – “Quality Awards 2014” was held recently on a high note under the theme “Tradition of Excellence” at Eagle’s Lakeside, Ratmalana. This glamorous forum recognizes the determined, unwavering efforts and remarkable skills of the Asian Alliance sales team who bear the baton of continuing the tradition of excellence within the company and in the industry.

Mr. Ashok Pathirage - the Chairman, Mr. Iftikar Ahamed – Managing Director and Mr. Ramal Jasinghe – Director/CEO of Asian Alliance graced the occasion whilst the Executive Committee members & Senior Management were present to applaud the true spirit of their professional sales force.

Launching the awards ceremony with his special message, Mr. Chula Hettiarachchi, Chief Operating Officer – Life, enlightened the audience on the journey of Asian Alliance Life who has bravely surpassed the giants and become the fastest growing insurer in the country within just 13 years. He also positioned the theme of this year’s event “Tradition of Excellence” with the audience.

Whilst congratulating the winners, Mr. Ramal Jasinghe, Director/CEO stated that the company is surging forward as a member of the diversified Softlogic Group which will result in new dimensions to the insurance solutions provided by Asian Alliance to its clientele. Addressing the gathering, the Executive Director - Mr. Iftikar Ahamed commended the performance of the energetic team of professionals whilst encouraging them to go beyond the traditional frameworks and introduce new benchmarks to the industry for others to follow.

The performance of each and every individual in the sales team was perfectly measured on 3 key elements, namely, Quantity, Quality and Consistency endorsing the continuously improving productivity standards of Asian Alliance Life and the soundness of the company’s unique selling process that outclass the team from competition.

Mr. G.M. Lahiru Maduranga from Nugegoda Zonal Office bagged the most prestigious awards of the year, namely the Most Valuable Sales Person and the Best Performer of the year awards. Mr. M.A.T.D. Jeewantha (Panadura) & Mr. Dilan Yapa (Colombo) claimed the runner up awards respectively.

Provincial Sales Manager – Colombo, Mr. Susil Atapattu was awarded Best Regional Distribution Manager award while Mr. Upul Jayasekara (Zonal Manager – Nugegoda) & Mr. Mahinda Perera (Zonal Manager - Battaramulla) together claimed the 1^st and 2^nd runner up awards respectively. Mr. Nisal Govinnage (Nugegoda) awarded as the Best Field Manager of the year whilst Mr. Sambuge Prashantha (Kottawa) claimed the runner up award. Mr. Nissanka Deshapriya (Kiribathgoda) was awarded the Best Territorial Manager Award and Mr. B.G. Lalith Shantha (Galle) won the runner up award.
