Silhan L. Rahaman who has been a long-time close and loyal associate and coordinating secretary of Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has been appointed by the Minister as a Director of the Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka (MBSL).

The MBSL has informed the Colombo Stock Exchange that Silhan Rahaman has 29 years of experience in the mercantile sector and that he worked as a Import & Export Manager in several prominent companies.

Meanwhile, it is also stated that he has been the Personal Assistant of the Managing Director of a prominent company.

Silhan Rahaman has been the coordinating secretary for Ravi Karunanayake for the past 14 years.
