The Colombo Stock Exchange has approved in principle an application by the Bank of Ceylon for listing its debt securities.

The bank is to issue 40 million unsecured unredeemable debentures at an issue price of Rs. 100 each with an option to issue up to a further 40 million debentures in the event the initial 40 million debentures are oversubscribed.

The subscription list is to open on 16 September 2014 and the managers and registrars to the issue is Bank of Ceylon, Investment Banking, Division, 11^th Floor BoC Square, No. 1, Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, Colombo 01.

The prospectus would be delivered to member firms/trading members on 03 September 2014.
