Latest Cabinet Decisions outlined that the proposal made by Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development to award the contract for the construction of a small urban luxury hotel with 48 rooms within the premises in which Waters Edge Hotel - Battaramulla is located to M/s Sathuta Builders (Pvt.) Ltd., as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.

According to the company profile Sathuta Builders (Pvt) Ltd. is headed by R.M. Sunil Rathnayake and has been one of the few construction firms in the country to obtain the prestigious CIDA grading of CS2. Being the recipient of many construction excellence awards, Sathuta Builders (Pvt) Ltd. has also been one of the first construction firms in the country to implement the ISO systems and is currently accredited with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems) and the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) certifications.
