CIPM Sri Lanka – the Nation’s leader in human resource management recently announced that CIPM’s foremost professional qualification - CQHRM (Chartered Qualification in Human Resource Management) received the accreditation of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) – the UK, the leading professional body for experts in people at work. With hubs in UK, Ireland, Middle East, and Asia, CIPD UK is the career partner of choice for over 150,000 members worldwide. With this accreditation, CIPM Sri Lanka students who complete the CQHRM qualification, subject to other specific eligibility requirements, will be eligible to apply for associate membership of CIPD UK.

Since its inception in 1959, CIPM Sri Lanka has regularly and continuously introduced international best practices in the HR sphere, thus enabling and empowering a paradigm shift for HR practitioners in Sri Lanka. This accreditation by CIPD UK will help propel Sri Lanka’s HR profession and its HR professionals to new heights.
CIPM is affiliated with the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management (APFHRM) and the World Federation of People Management Association (WFPMA). CIPM, being a professional institute, is also a constituent member of the Organization of Professional Associations [OPA] Sri Lanka. Currently, CIPM comprises over 1200 Professional Members who serve in both public and private organizations and approximately 8000 students who follow diverse programs on human resource management that are delivered online and through its study centres in Colombo and regional study centres throughout the country.
