The Colombo Stock Exchange’s benchmark index, the All Share Price Index (ASPI), reached the 24,000-point level for the first time in history today (23).

The milestone was achieved during intraday trading, with the ASPI touching the 24,000 mark at around 1.20 p.m.

Market analysts say the move reflects strong investor sentiment and sustained buying interest in the market.
