Trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) remained sluggish today (11), although both main indices recorded marginal gains at the close.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) edged up by 4.59 points to close at 23,655.68, while the S&P SL20 Index gained 6.11 points to end at 6,611.52.

Turnover for the day stood at Rs. 3.35 billion.

Foreign investor participation remained notably subdued. Foreign purchases amounted to Rs. 56 million, while foreign sales totalled Rs. 120 million, resulting in a net foreign outflow.

Meanwhile, domestic participation dominated market activity, with local purchases recorded at Rs. 3.29 billion and local sales at Rs. 3.22 billion.
