Colombo West International Terminal (Private) Limited contributes to ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund

Colombo West International Terminal (Private) Limited (CWIT) has made a financial contribution of Rs. 100 million to the government’s Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund, established to provide relief to communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The cheque was handed over this afternoon (12) at the Presidential Secretariat to Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, by Deputy High Commissioner of India, Satyanjal Pandey and Chief Executive Officer of CWIT, Munish Kanwar.
Secretary to the President Dr. Kumanayake expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Government of India toward Sri Lanka’s national recovery efforts.
Deputy High Commissioner Pandey stated that India remains committed to providing Sri Lanka with the necessary assistance in the future as well.
Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Anura Karunatilaka, Head of the Economic and Commercial Division of the Indian High Commission, Devika Lal, Chairman and CEO of John Keells Holdings, Krishan Balendra and CWIT representatives Zafir Hashim and Anandhan Nagaysayanu Raj were also present at the occasion.
